CandleDash (“we”, “us”) is a mobile game that turns public market candlestick data into playable levels. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Account data — anonymous auth identifiers, optional nickname/callsign, optional linked Google or Apple identity, and recovery-code material needed to restore your profile.
- Gameplay data — chart configurations, scores, run recordings used for ghosts/leaderboards, gifted coin balance, Hangar cosmetics you own or equip, literacy patterns you log in the Pattern Codex, rocket balance (when limited), and share codes you create.
- Device & diagnostics — basic app version and crash/diagnostic signals needed to keep the game running.
- Advertising identifiers — on supported devices, an advertising ID (and, on iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt when applicable) may be used so Google AdMob can serve rewarded ads and measure performance, subject to your consent choices.
- Website analytics — this site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible) to understand aggregate page traffic. It does not use advertising cookies.
Advertising & consent
CandleDash offers optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. Watching an ad can grant gifted coins for the Hangar. Ads are not required to create an account, play, or delete your data.
We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) with AdMob Privacy & messaging. Where required, that may include:
- European regulations (GDPR) — a consent form for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland (Consent, Manage options, and Do not consent).
- US state regulations — a privacy message for supported US states (for example CCPA/CPRA-style choices).
- iOS IDFA explainer — an optional pre-prompt before Apple’s App Tracking Transparency dialog, plus the system ATT prompt when applicable.
Personalized ads are only requested after the applicable consent or choice flow allows it. You can revisit ad privacy choices from Settings → Ad privacy options in the app when that form is available for your region.
Google and its partners may collect device and advertising data as described in Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob help. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal data.
- We don’t use your gameplay or account data to train third-party AI models.
- Market candle data used for levels comes from public exchange feeds and is not your personal trading history.
How we use data
To operate accounts, sync leaderboards and ghosts, enable share codes, gifted coins, and Hangar cosmetics, show rewarded ads with appropriate consent, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.
Retention & deletion
CandleDash lets you delete your account and associated data from inside the app. You do not need to email us to start deletion.
How to delete your account
- Open the CandleDash app.
- Go to Account.
- Choose Delete Account and confirm.
What is deleted
- Your profile (nickname/callsign), auth session, and recovery material for that account
- Gameplay records tied to you (runs, scores, ghost recordings, saves, gifted coin balance, Hangar cosmetics, rocket balance)
- Linked Google or Apple identity for that account, if any
What may be kept
- Challenge share codes you created may remain playable so others can still open those charts, but without your name attached
- Ordinary encrypted backups may retain copies for a limited period before they rotate off, and we may keep data when required by law
After deletion, the app starts a fresh anonymous session so you can choose a new nickname if you return.
If you cannot use the app, email support@candledash.io and ask us to delete your account. Include your recovery code, nickname/callsign, or the Google/Apple email linked to the account so we can find the right profile.
